Interim Major Events
Interim Major Events Policy (opens in new window)
UC Santa Cruz (University) provides designated spaces available for use by students, academic appointees, staff, alumni, and the community at large to encourage community building, recreation, and the free exchange of ideas.
Producing a Major Event at the University that safeguards the safety of individuals and property while maintaining the continuity of University operations and functions requires preparation and planning. The interim Major Events Policy establishes a content-neutral process to assess proposed Major Events for safety and logistical planning, supporting the successful execution of Major Events while minimizing academic and operational disruption and managing overlapping or concurrent events. In addition to this policy on Major Events, each campus facility has local rules for use.
After reviewing the interim Major Events Policy (opens in new window) (opens in new window), submit a Major Event Proposal Form (opens in new window).
